California Special Election May 19

It is a very unfortunate situation that California and other states are in. May 19, Special election is the Legislatures first attempt at putting Cali back on sure footing. Sorry to say that I thing that this is on a First effort. Like most of Measure 1A it is more about raising taxes and playing a "shell game" with current and supposed revenue. There is not much talks of Cuts, like the Cuts our family is making.
We live in California Congressional District 4 and our Congressman is Tom McClintock, we appreciate him on many fronts. Click on McClintock on the Propositions to see his take. I so far am in agreement with him on all but 1F. At this link there were currently 2 Comments before I made mine. Here is what I said in response to the Prop 1F

I am in agreement with most positions, except 1F. I am not going to vote against a good principle out of fear on a representative going out on the line to increasing taxes on the constituents for his/her own raise. Yes, maybe the voters are not paying attention (like now) and the representative will get away with raising taxes to balance the budget and assure their own pay raise, but this is where we need to make out votes count and hold them accountable when they do such a thing. If they show irresponsibility and this "ultimately end(s) up as a perverse incentive for legislators to pass higher and higher taxes in order to qualify for higher and higher salaries." as Tom states then they need to be voted out of office. If the people will not hold the leaders accountable, we get what we deserve.

You do not need to "weighing in" at that site, but I would appreciate any comments here to help me decide. If you have any thoughts that you can comment here or e-mail, I would appreciate it.
